The Queen in Invergordon High Street

The Quuen on a walkabout in the High Street during her visit in 1987. In the background is the boarded up shop of Gilbert Ross & Co, ironmongers and house furnishers.
Can you recognise any of the special people seated?

Comments:
I'm in the photo as are some pupils of Milton Primary School. I was a teacher there at the time. Three of the pupils I can make out are Sharon Rose, Kirsty Sinclair and Melanie Gordon. I remember wearing a yellow dress that day and everyone saying, "You're wearing the same colour as the Queen!"

The very eloquent Mr Bill Smith with the stick, walking at the back.

Aye, Mr Smith, tough as nails, used to refer to the students in commercial class as pencil pushers. I remember him being heckled in the town hall, he came off the stage and took care of it himself much to the delight of all present.
