Fashion Show

This seems to be a fashion show in the theatre. One wonders whether it has any connection to the activity in picture #322.

I recognize Doris Shearer who is sitting second row on the left. She was my teacher in Primary 6. Is married to Dolan Shearer, the artist.

The Doris Shearer mentioned above is my god mother. She was my mother's (Annabel Ross) best friend. Sitting next to Doris looks like Wilma Grant.

Strangely the author of the previous comment is an old friend from our teaching days in Stirling. We lost touch many years ago.

The lady behind Doris Shearer is my mother Frances Borley and the youngster(!) sitting in front of Doris is me - Maureen Mackenzie. The lady sitting beside my mother is Mrs Cooney, wife of George Cooney, formerly French teacher at Invergordon Academy. Their daughter Ann is sitting beside me.

Doris Shearer, formerly Miss Brice, taught me in primary 5. What a treat she was on our eyes, she had us boys totally under control, don't remember the strap in her class and that's saying something...

4th row back, 3rd one along is my aunty Vida Hendry married to Donnie and still living in Tain. 4th along next to her is my aunty Margaret who lived in Invergordon most of her life but sadly died last year. I remember Miss Bryce well too!

3rd row back on the left is Jy Munro who lived at Rhicullen Croft, Newmore and on her right is my sister Marjorie Munro who is still living in Tain.

I lived in Invergordon for a couple of years 1967-69 and was friendly with Dolan and Doris Shearer. Does anyone have information about what happened to them?
