My aunt remembers a Willie Geddes visiting her parents Jean (Jane Clark) and Sam Hobson when they lived in Oban. She said he was a friend of Jean (Jane)'s from when she lived in Invergordon. Does this ring any bells with anyone? I am having trouble finding information on my grt. grandparents and their family from their Invergordon years and any help would be gratefully appreciated. Apparently the Taylor family may have had a link to them?
Hello Laura, my father Willie Geddes lived in Oban for a time in the 1930s. He met my mother there and after they married in Oban they moved to Invergordon to live with my Grandfather, another Willie Geddes.

Hello Bill, thanks for responding. I wonder if your father was the Willie Geddes that was a friend of my granny's from their time in Invergordon? My Aunt seems to remember that when he visited he either used a wheelchair or walked with a stick? This website is fantastic ... mum and I have enjoyed trawling through it looking at all the old photos and wondering where exactly our family lived and played!!
It would depend on what date the visit took place Laura. My father contracted Multiple Sclerosis about 1952 and his mobility declined steadily until he died in 1974. As the illness progressed he certainly began to use a stick and a motor invalid carriage. So I would guess he is almost certainly the correct person if the dates fit and because of the Oban connection.
