View West

The view west from the top of the path leading to the Donkey Bridge. The work on the coast road to re-align it has just been completed. The date is a guess.

This photograph was taken after 1982. We lived in Birchwood until then and there were no steps on to the path to Donkey Bridge. We spent a lot of time picking blackberries on the bank, the pathway down was very rough. We are the Tibbott Family - we came back to Wales in 1982.

Hi Lynn, I remember some of your family. I was in school with Nigel and my sister was in school with his younger brother (Michael?). Are you a sister or their Mum? Hope they are all well. Please let them know I quite often think about them and what they have got up to since leaving InverG. I was known back then as Jillian Lamb, my sister was Jackie.

Hi Jillian, I am their Mum and both of them are fine. Nigel has one lovely daughter called Lara he is an Insurance broker. Michael and Gail also have one lovely daughter and she is called Heather. He wanted a Scottish name for her. Mike is an electronic engineer. I will pass on your best wishes to them.

Thanks Lynn, I would appreciate that. It's nice to hear what folks are up to when they have moved away from the area.

Hi Jillian, what a blast from the past!!!! I have often thought about all the people I grew up with in InverG, but this week it has been on my mind a lot. A friend of mine is working on the cruise ships and he mentioned Inverg!! How are you then? Do you keep in touch with any one from school?? It's amazing I'ive not seen any one since the day I left school, wow 26 years ago!! This is a great site by the way - lots of photos to stir the memories.

Hi Nigel - great to hear from you. This is my e-mail address, feel free to get in touch and we can catch up (jillyb65@btinternet.com). I still see loads of folk from school as I still live in InverG. I have a sixteen year old son, who now goes to Invergordon Academy. I was just thinking he is probably the same age you were when you left here. LOL we thought we knew it all back then - little did we know!!!! I have a re-union photo that was taken about ten years ago. I must post it on here, you can then see how much we have changed! Take care x
