Evening at Invergordon

A lovely evening scene, looking west. Could the boat be the ferry to Balblair - seems unlikely, surely? Which pier is that on the right?
The date is pure guesswork.

Comments:
That is the RAF Pier, which was the West Pier. The mast, kindly provided by the dockyard, on the pier was set up as a start and finish line for regattas. That looks like a GP14 which would put the date about 1959-1961, Ron Stewart and myself used to spend a lot of time on that class of boat, and the hull shape looks about right.
