Comments:
How sad to see what a state Ness Cottage got into in the end. It was a fine old house, and pretty much untouched by modernity (apart from when my cousins John and Liz painted the kitchen a cheery cerise pink, a controversial choice!!), with no central heating, and only a range to heat the water with. It was rented from someone who went to Australia and couldn't be traced, so difficult to get any maintenance done, and after Grandad left, it was finally destroyed by planning blight.
