Off to see a Submarine

A group from the Black Isle came across to Invergordon to view a captured German U-boat.
At the back are Munro Fraser and Davy Ross (in the centre).
At the front, 2nd left, is Bob Patullo; 3rd left is Tom Patullo. Willie Finlayson is on Tom's left and behind Willie, to his left, is Hughie Finlayson.

Is that a Sunderland moored at the Black Isle side of the Firth above Bob Patullo’s head?

Yes it is a Sunderland.

No trouble picking out Davey Ross (Coon). Sunderlands had a distinctive roar when preparing for take-off.

I wonder if this would have been taken on the same day (and photographer?) as for the folk climbing down into the U-Boat in no. 819 (no. 224 in Invergordon Off the Wall - by John Duguid Ross)?
