Church Recreation Hut

A large number of wooden hutments were situated behind Joss Street and on the site of the oil tank expansion to the east and the Distillery. These disappeared shortly after WWI, and another one that has gone is the church recreation hut. It is not clear where this was located - so perhaps someone knows?

Can only think of the old scout hut that was located just east of the church and behind Joss Street.

Yes Harry ... the Scout Hut was situated in what is now the Church car park between the old pump house and the Doctor's House, that is the only one I can think of.

The scout hut certainly had a cast iron fire just like this one (probably most huts had them).
